How to Insert a Picture into Your Ad

Obtain a Picture/Photo Hosting Account

First of all, you need somewhere on the web to store your picture or photo. We recommend Shareapic since it is free and you even earn money when people look at your pictures.

A small version of your picture will be shown in your Ad and if people click on the picture, a new window will open on the Shareapic site showing a large version of the picture.

To get started, sign up for a free Shareapic account. Then you can upload as many pictures as you like and share them on any other website.

Cut and Paste the Code

Once your picture is uploaded and approved, you can get cut and paste code from from your member's area for any of your pictures.

Simply cut and paste this code to your Ad description box and your picture should show up as a thumbnail image when you go to preview/check your Ad.

Example Code

<a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=2028589&owner=andyw" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.shareapic.net/preview/002028589.jpg" border="0"></a>

Here is what it it looks like when added to this site:

Clicking on this picture opens up the page with the large image plus some Ads. Theses are the Ads that allow Shareapic to share revenue with their members (you and me).

You may also use other image hosting services, but why?

To make sure that visitors to your Ad understand that they can click on the picture to enlarge it, you could add a note or change the code to something like this:

<a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=2028589&owner=andyw" target="_blank" title="Click to see a larger image"><img src="http://www.shareapic.net/preview/002028589.jpg" border="0" /></a>

This will show a message if the visitor hovers their mouse over the image telling them that they can see a larger image if they click. The image will be a new window too.

Hopefully, that wasn't too technical, but it can be as simple as a cut and paste from A (your picture linking code) to B (your Ad description).

We don't host images ourselves due to the cost of doing this. Also, we offload the compliance regulation with copyright to the image hosting services.

Basically, only upload your own photos and pictures that you own the rights to. We do of course screen all Ads for objectionable content.
